We build with God

Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” All of man’s accomplishments on this earth are only because of the grace of God.  That statement is true both individually and collectively.  You and I have accomplished nothing because of our great abilities.  Yet, you and I have accomplished much because God has enabled us to be successful.  Without Him our accomplishments are failures.  With Him we can do tremendously.  Why would we ever want to live without Him?  Can you imagine how happy this world would be if our Creator was recognized and given the praise He deserves?  Build your life with Jesus—- both eternal joy and success are guaranteed.

Now and forever

Psalm 125:2 “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.” Our all knowing God understands you and I enjoy visuals which help our understanding.  This passage is a visual.  The purpose?  To paint a picture of His ever presence and the security only He can provide.  Our God again shows His tremendous love for each of us.

Secure and solid

Psalm 125:1 “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.” Imagine putting your arms around a large oak tree and shaking it.  You can’t.  Now imagine yourself viewing the highest hill in Jerusalem and attempting to shake it.  Two problems: putting your arms around it and then shaking that which cannot be shaken.  The trust you and I have in our God can never be shaken.  His faithfulness endures forever—Praise God!

Need help?

Psalm 124:8 “Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” God, our Creator, the Creator of the huge universe and the creator of every child in the womb is the same God who walks by your and my side every second of our lives.  What an honor it is to be His child and for us to call Him our Father. Have a great weekend.

See Him and His glory

Psalm 123:1 “I lift up my eyes to you, to you whose throne is in heaven.” No one has ever physically seen God.  He is so magnificent our physical eyes would become blind; however, we do see God with our heart, soul and spirit and you and I love the sight.  We love to see His glory and enjoy the beautiful thought of His unsurpassed love for each of us.  We truly do see Him and thoroughly pleasure in His everlasting presence. Have a great weekend.
