Proverbs 19:23 “The fear of the Lord leads to life: then one rests content, untouched by trouble.” Throughout Proverbs God reminds us of the wonderful peace and contentedness found by placing Him first in our lives. Doesn’t it only make sense to do exactly that? We can’t let ourselves be fooled to think the pleasures of this world are what we should strive for. Pleasures are blessings, but we live for Him!! Have a great weekend.

Proverbs 19:22a “What a man desires is unfailing love…” Have you ever heard anyone say—I don’t want to be loved now or ever! No one has ever said that. Why? He has given us value, purpose and eternal love. How could any of us not fall in love with Him?

Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Many live with the thought–I determine what and when and where I live, I am going to live and do it my way. That thinking leads to a purposeless and wasted life. Instead, you and I should be asking–Dear Heavenly Father, let me accomplish the purpose You have for me. Guide me and let me serve you in accomplishing your purpose with my life. Then our lives become purposeful, contented and successful.

From our Great Teacher Himself. Have a great weekend.
