Not obeying brings catastrophe

Acts 7:39 “But our fathers refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.” Whenever a person’s heart does not respect and honor the true God only turmoil and chaos can result.  There is no peace when a person’s heart  rejects the true God.  Is that why the world is in a state of turmoil and disarray?  Absolutely!  When man places himself at center stage the result is catastrophic.  Placing God at the center of our lives brings peace and prosperity.

Time to God

Acts 7:30 “After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.” How world history and how your and my history unfolds is all under God’s control.  Has God been preparing you years ago for something that will transpire today or sometime in the future and has He  done so many times in your past?  All we know is God is in control and we should live our lives with the constant thought–God use me a your faithful servant to accomplish whatever your will is, always to your glory and honor.

God’s plan never fails

Acts 7:21 “When he was placed outside, Pharoah’s daughter took him and brought him up as her own son.” Moses was to die but God had a purpose for him which changed the history of the world.  What purpose does God have for your life?  There definitely is a purpose for every faith filled Christian.  That purpose is not to acquire as many assets as possible or to gain some amount of recognition—that purpose is to serve and give glory to Him.  Be a humble child of His and fulfill His purpose for your life.

Time will prove truth

Acts 7:17a “As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham…” God always, always fulfills His promises.  He has made promises to you.  He has made promises to me.  Life with Him.  Life after death.  A life on this earth of us fulfilling His purpose.  The gift of security, peace, joy–all because of our relationship with Him.  Our loving and faithful God absolutely always keeps His promises.

Delegate Work

Acts 6:3 “Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom.  We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” In every Christian church there are faith filled and wise members.  Their skills are often not used either wisely or at all and the entire ministry is placed on the pastor’s shoulders and it becomes too much for him.  It is said that between 35-50 % of pastors under 45 years old quit because of stress and burnout. A church can easily change those statistics by incorporating the talents of members in the church’s work.  The New Testament church recognized this fact. Have a great weekend.
