Great qualities

Proverbs 31:12 “She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. God continues with outstanding qualities of a cherished wife.  Obviously within this passage is a quality of caring.  Caring for a husband 100% of the time.  This caring mentality would naturally carry over to their children which would make for a united and loving family.  How long would this mentality last?  Answer: An entire lifetime!  Another beneficiary—not only the husband and children, but the grand and great grandchildren.  Families would not be broken but would thrive.  All this because of the choice of a great wife. Have a great weekend.

Finding a wife

Proverbs 31:10 “A wife of noble character who can find?  She is worth far more than rubies.” What does a young man or a young woman or at whatever age look for in a spouse?  God answers the question–not as “lookers” answer– but as wise persons looking to find a partner for life who will heap “gold” onto a family.  Not everyone qualifies for everyone.  Define “noble” and you have found your precious jewel.  Thank God when you find that “noble jewel”.  And, you and I should be that “noble jewel”.

Speak because they can’t

Proverbs 31:8a “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves…” This simple, short passage speaks volumes.  Millions of children die annually because their cries are not heard.  Many women later regret their abortion and are forgiven and can live in peace, but you and I have to lovingly speak up so these precious little ones have a voice.  Thank you to all of you who do speak up.

Two requests

Proverbs 30:7-9 “Two things I ask of you, Lord; do not refuse me before I die; Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.  Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.” Disadvantages of wealth or poverty.  Advantages of leading a God pleasing and purposeful life.  That is the life our Heavenly Father wants us to live.  And since that is the life He wants us to live–that is certainly the life we want to live also.

Anything you know that is flawless? Read further.

Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Here is a philosophical question–can you or I understand perfection?  If we could we would understand our God’s love for each of us.  We would understand–God is love.  We would understand His direction in leading a 100% God-fearing life.  We would understand the importance of diligently reading/studying His precious Word for therein lies absolute truth.  Our Savior can be nothing other than flawless–let’s play follow the Leader.
