God is God!

Psalm 8:1 “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!  You have set your glory in the heavens.” Our God couldn’t be more loving, concerned, caring, or–you supply the superlative.  He created the entire universe for your and my enjoyment and to display His glory.  Is there a word which is more majestic than majestic?  Google it.  There isn’t.  That defines our God.  How majestic is our God!  And to think He loves you.  You can’t be more blessed.

Praise God

Psalm 7:17 “I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.” David recognized that God is perfect.  He recognized God is the epitome of everything.  Nothing comes even close to His glory.  For many to not recognize His magnificence is foolishness.  David, though sinful, just like you and me, worshipped God as his Creator, Redeemer, Sanctifier and the One and Only God of the universe.  To God is all glory given.

unusual statement

Psalm 7:14 “Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.” David’s analysis is hilarious.  He writes not of a woman who is in her initial stages of pregnancy but a full blown 9 months into the pregnancy as a person who has just the opposite of a close relationship with their Heavenly Father.  David paints a picture of an unbeliever as disillusioned.  The analysis is quite clear.

Our hope and salvation

Psalm 7:1 “Lord my God, I take refuge in you; save and deliver me from all who would pursue me.” Everyone who seeks God, the true God, finds Him.  Not one person who takes refuge in the Almighty God lives in chaos, turmoil and in a shattered life.  God keeps that from happening.  He is our refuge.  He is our safety and security.  Nothing else on this earth provides such peace and comfort.  We trust Him and He will NEVER fail us.

Take refuge

Psalm 5:11 “But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.  Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.” Every Christian has a right to be happy.  A Christian has a perpetual smile and not a frown.  Is a Christian at times sad, even to a point of crying? Yes, Definitely. While we live on this earth sadness is unavoidable.  Yet, we always rejoice in the comfort of the peace which only comes from our personal love relationship with our God.  Even in sadness our souls rejoice because nothing can interfere with our God/child wonderful love relationship. Have a great weekend.
