Two great thoughts

Psalm 21:6 “Surely you have granted him unended blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence.” David recognized his blessings were from his Almighty God.  In recognizing the Source of all his blessings he could only welcome the joy he also lived with.  You and I paddle the same boat.  All that we have is only because of our Father and He is the Source of our joy.  Our response for blessings is joy just as our response for His loving grace can only in return be to live a life He would have us live.

Trust

Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” You and I can and do rely completely on the promises of our God.  Both our lives on this earth and our lives eternally have their foundation built on the promises of our Heavenly Father.  Some would say that trust is totally blind void of physical proof.  To a degree they are right.  Faith and trust are both wonderful gifts shared by all Christians who enjoy living always in the security gifted to us by our loving God.  Absolute security is found in that little 5 letter word–Trust.

Necessity of goal setting

Psalm 20:4 “May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” If you and I have no plans or goals, how can they succeed?  They can’t because they don’t exist.  God is telling each of us to have plans or goals while trusting Him; while realizing He is at the center of our lives; while living our lives to His glory and He will make our dreams come true.  Never be self-centered–be God-centered and watch the blessings flow in your life.  Not as a part of prosperity doctrine but as totally trusting and living as God’s adopted child. Have a great weekend.

Faith=questions answered

Psalm 20:1 ‘”May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.” When you and I live with a faith which is at its strongest we place our lives completely in His hands.  When do we actually practice such a faith?  Maybe 1/2 of 1 percent of the time?  WOW–that is weak. Am I wrong in that conclusion?  Well, I guess you have to answer that question for yourself.  From what I see, all of us could improve.  We have to pray the prayer of this verse so we answer the question with the thought–100% of the time=always!  That is how our loving God would have us think. Pray for such a faith.

A Prayer

Psalm 19:14 “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” You and I are identical to David.  We pray or converse directly to God in a manner like a loved son or daughter would talk to a loving father or mother.  Parents are certainly where children find stability, love and security.  That foundation is the responsibility of every parent to provide for their children.  That relationship is then wonderfully recognized and applied to our Heavenly Father.
