Faith and trust

Psalm 34:19 “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” The first half of this verse is easy to understand, but the second half is not easy to understand.  Troubles, on a scale of 1-10 are 9.999 while our understand or comprehension of God’s love and His emergency life ambulance is so very low.  Should you and I, with an increase in faith, hope and prayer turn that statistic to be just the opposite?  He delivers us from them all is a towering skyscraper promise.

Want to be blessed?

Psalm 34:8 “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” Never take refuge or find your security in any assets you may have.  Intelligence, savings, investments, job or anything that seems to give security, but which can also disappear in an instant.  The only piece of security which will never fade is the hope we have in our God.  He is from everlasting to everlasting.  We can find no more security than that.  Enjoy!!

God has eyes and ears?

Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;” Our Majestic God hears you and me and sees our actions in life.  The closest we can understand that happening is if one has eyes and ears.  David and God want us to understand, therefore; the words of this passage are written as they are.  This passage also says God is compassionate by using the last 4 words written.  We can certainly see we worship an awesome God just through this short verse.

It is impossible not to

Psalm 34:1 “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.’ Not just thank you–but THANK YOU!  That is what David says we, as Christians should feel and express.  To be so appreciative of our God and His love for us brings us to tears.  How phenomenally blessed we are. Have a great weekend.

Great morning prayer

Psalm 33:22 “May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.” Can there be more security than to own our God’s unfailing love?  Would you rather have a billion $ or God’s unfailing love?  Much of the world would choose earthly wealth.  How do I know?  Very simple–look at the morality and thinking of the world.  Those of us who choose His unfailing love have been blessed beyond measure.  Thank and praise God.
