Fool or wise

Proverbs 29:11 “Fools bring full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.” The book of Proverbs, written about 3000 years ago, is as true today as it was when it was written.  A fool never changes and a wise person continues to have the same traits as in the past.  Chaos has always been and will always be in the life of a person who lives without the contented relationship one could have with their Heavenly Father and calm and peace reign when a wise person has a tight relationship with their Savior.  Your and my choice.

Patience does not last forever

Proverbs 29:1 “Whoever remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.” God is only so patient.  Eventually His patience ends.  You and I are only so patient.  This thought is weighed with God’s everlasting love and your and my forgiving seventy times seven.  God’s grace is life long, but He can shorten lives when disobedience reigns.  Listen, learn and live as He demands.  Rest in your Savior’s arms.  Develop a tight relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Charity

Proverbs 28:27 “Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.” One of the traits of a faithful child of God is generosity.  All Christian churches only exist because of generosity.  Christian nonprofit organizations exist only because of generosity.  You and I are continually asked to donate to either organizations or to individuals and we respond with generosity.  Because of this God promises He will bless each of us.  You and I are told to give, we do and are blessed.  Continue to pray for a generous heart.

Trust in whom?

Proverbs 28:26 “Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.” When you or I have a difficult relational/decision problem do we go to the psychology book along with our own thinking for a solution or do we fold our hands and ask God for His ultimate wise guidance and place our concerns in His hands and authority?  This passage is the answer to the question.  We all should remember God’s answer in all cases for a much more contented life.

Trust and prosper

Proverbs 28:25 “The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper.” I don’t know anyone (and I think you don’t either) who wants to be a failure.  We all want to experience happiness or joy and be a success.  God makes happiness, joy and success so easy and guaranteed —He says–Trust in Me and all goodness is yours.  The formula is as easy as 1+1 = 2.  Why do we all at times make life so difficult.  Can we make 2025 a prosperous year?  We know the formula. Julie is having a difficult time in the development of her business.  Pray that God give her guidance as she will listen to His direction. Have a great weekend.
