Eager to listen

Proverbs 8:34 “Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.” The book of Proverbs is so magnificent.  We read our Father’s words and learn and enjoy His always faithful promises.  It is our responsibility to always read, listen and apply.  We pray to always follow what He has to say and then enjoy all the promises He so graciously gives each of us.

Wonderful words

Proverbs 8:17 “I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.” What a wonderful promise from our God.  How do you and I seek God?  Pray to Him.  Read His Word.  Have conversation with fellow believers.  Write so others learn and grow in His Word and relationship.  Keep your and my eyes focused on Him.  Continually pray for His wisdom to be our wisdom.  Love Him and seek Him in all we do.

Fear the Lord =

Proverbs 8:13 “To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.” Our lives are to be led serving and honoring our Heavenly Father.  There is much on this beautiful earth which can easily distract each of us from our purpose of living as intended by God.  Beauty is everywhere–in nature, abilities, man made personal toys, looks, intelligence–there is almost no end of personal pleasure.  Never let these gifts overwhelm us.  Never let these gifts turn us from the real purpose of life–to serve our Lord and Savior.

Make your parenting valuale

Proverbs 6:20 “My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.” God is assuming excellent parenting.  Parents have the responsibility of being a good example and the responsibility of intentionally teaching wisdom to their children.  When this is done children live in the comfort and security of a home God intends.Studying the Bible is certainly a part of this intentionally provided wisdom.

Always seen

Proverbs 5:21 “For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths.” Nothing we do escapes the eye of our Heavenly Father.  We can fool each other, we can fool the rest of the world, but we can never fool God. Even our thoughts are known to Him.  God knows each of us completely.  He also knows we have our Savior, our Advocate.  What would we do without Jesus?  Each of us thank Him with all our heart.   Have a great weekend.

Mouth, eyes and feet

Proverbs 4:24-26 parts  “Keep your mouth free of perversity…Let your eyes look straight ahead…Give careful thought to the paths for your feet…” Our entire being is meant to give glory to God.  He has created each of us to serve Him with our entire being all the days of our lives.  Our mouth (our expression);  our eyes (what we place in front of ourselves); and our feet (wherever we go); are all to serve our Heavenly Father.  All three are intended to be restrictive to our blessed benefit.  Our path of success is dictated by following our God’s wisdom.
