Proverbs 3:7 “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” The absolute basis for faith is knowing our Redeemer and God’s will for each of our lives. Our opinions mean zero. Man’s weak thinking seems to be just the opposite—-my opinion is ultra important while God’s wisdom is at best questionable. This proverb expresses absolute truth. The wisdom it holds means everything.

Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Why is there so much confusion and difficulty in both the world and in our own lives? Why don’t you and I and the rest of the world enjoy the peace and comfort and assured hope promised by our faithful God? Why? Because we forget the promise of the truth so clearly stated in this sentence. To rely on the truth of this verse and apply the truth it expresses would change our entire life and the lives of the entire world.

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” The definition of trust in God is: A total reliance or complete confidence or 100% assurance that His words are absolute truth with zero doubt. That is the behavior of a faith filled adopted child of God. That is the trust our loving Heavenly Father wants us to have in Him. We pray for such a total trust.

Proverbs 2:10 “For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.” All you and I have to do is listen to our Heavenly Father and wisdom and knowledge will be a part of our lives. That is God’s promise. God has NEVER not kept His promise. Study your Bible. Apply what God has to say. Our lives will be walking with wisdom.
