How to honor God

Proverbs 3:9 “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;” Honoring God first and then using your blessings to enjoy life is the correct order God wants us to follow.  When we follow God’s wisdom the result is in the following verse.  This is a simple guide with grand rewards.  Check out the following verse for the huge rewards. Have a great weekend.

Wise in whose eyes?

Proverbs 3:7 “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” The absolute basis for faith is knowing our Redeemer and God’s will for each of our lives.  Our opinions mean zero.  Man’s weak thinking seems to be just the opposite—-my opinion is ultra important while God’s wisdom is at best questionable.  This proverb expresses absolute truth.  The wisdom it holds means everything.

A Constant

Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Why is there so much confusion and difficulty in both the world and in our own lives?  Why don’t you and I and the rest of the world enjoy the peace and comfort and assured hope promised by our faithful God?  Why?  Because we forget the promise of the truth so clearly stated in this sentence.  To rely on the truth of this verse and apply the truth it expresses would change our entire life and the lives of the entire world.

Trust and lean

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” The definition of trust in God is: A total reliance or complete confidence or 100% assurance that His words are absolute truth with zero doubt.  That is the behavior of a faith filled adopted child of God.  That is the trust our loving Heavenly Father wants us to have in Him.  We pray for such a total trust.

Another promise

Proverbs 3:1-2 “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.” The advantages of living a faith filled life offer a person earthly blessings and a heavenly reward.  Read, study and apply the wisdom of our God and enjoy living a blessed life which only He can provide.

A promise

Proverbs 2:10 “For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.” All you and I have to do is listen to our Heavenly Father and wisdom and knowledge will be a part of our lives.  That is God’s promise.  God has NEVER not kept His promise.  Study your Bible.  Apply what God has to say.  Our lives will be walking with wisdom.  What an honor it is to be an adopted and loved child of God. Have a great weekend.
