When Jesus again appears!!

I Peter 5:4 “And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.” Our Savior’s love for each of His children cannot be greater.  Every Christian can try and explain or understand or even tell others of that love but our well intended efforts fall short of realizing the Great Love, Mercy and Grace our Savior has for each and every Christian.  His Forgiveness, His Grace, His having us live with Him for all Eternity is incomprehensible, yet absolutely true.  Enjoy not understanding!

Precious name

I Peter 4:16 “However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.” As a Christian, don’t expect the world to fall in love with you.  Just the opposite will be and is the case.  Your decisions, actions and principles are determined by your faith in Jesus Christ—not by what is determined as acceptably normal by law or groups or individuals.  Absolute truth is determined by our Savior—noone and nothing else.  A Christian’s life is based on the love of his/her Savior.

Totally Christian

I Peter 4:11 “If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.  If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.  To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever.  Amen. This passage sure appears to tell us to be aware we are to serve our God 100% of our time on this earth.  That is very inclusive and does not say or even imply this awareness applies to any specially trained Christian believers—-it applies to all Christians.  Can you imagine what this world would be like if this mentality was realized by everyone?  The chaos we live in would disappear.  Yet, we as Christians owe our God the respect this passage demands.

Use your talents

I Peter 3:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Our purpose on this earth is to serve–serve our Savior and serve others.  The world would not agree, but would rather insist that the reason for living is to serve oneself.  How can one get the most out of life is the mentality many chooose.  Christians realize they are gifted talents by their Heavenly Father to be used in serving.  The real question for each of our lives in all situations becomes the simple acronym —WWJD.

importance of baptism

I Peter 3:21 “and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also —-not be the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.  It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” God has chosen the simple act of baptism to symbolize the relationship He wants between each of His children and Himself.  Each of His followers pledges to a life of serving Him as He asks that He be properly served.  We honor our Savior as we make decisions throughout life, honoring Him and living life with a clear and clean conscience. Have a great weekend.

Why do you have hope?

I Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.  But do this with gentleness and respect.” Why do you have a confident faith–hope?  You and I live with 100% assurance our Savior walks by our side and will accomplish exactly what He has said.  We live with a complete  certainty and will die with that sureness instilled within our souls.  Why?  Our Heavenly Father’s love has never failed us and never will.
