John 20:29b “…blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” You and I have never physically seen God. Yet we believe He is real and all He says is absolute truth. That is the definition of faith. A skeptic will demand proof and will not believe even when there is proof. The resurrection is far beyond any proof any Christian needs. God had men record it–you and I accept God’s Word as truth–we need no other proof. God declares each faith filled Christian as blessed and that is simply what we are–blessed. Thank You, God!

John 20:21 “Again Jesus said, ‘ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”‘ You and I enjoy the privilege of being the loved and adopted child of God. With that honor we have the responsibility of a disciple. We are to tell others the truths of Scripture. Jesus was not loved by everyone to whom He told the Good News and neither will you or I. That fact, however; should never keep us from following the responsibility given to us by our Savior. Have a great weekend.

John 20:13a “They asked her,’Woman, why are you crying.”‘ Mary was heartbroken. Mary missed Jesus and she didn’t know where He was and didn’t realize she could have tears, but those tears would be tears of joy. Jesus had risen. You and I have also been very sad and heartbroken because we don’t really realize what has or is happening. We often are heartbroken when a loved one leaves this earth and goes to their Savior. We also should have tears, but tears of joy for our loved one because of the wonderful life they now live for all of eternity. This is easy to say but hard to do. We again need our Savior at our side.

John 20:2b “…They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him.” The greatest event to ever happen–the Resurrection–was lost to Mary and soon to a couple disciples because their human thinking came to incorrect conclusions. Do you and I, at times, enjoy the comforting thought of our Savior walking by our side while holding our hand or carrying us while at other times we walk in fear of the unknown? All of us come to incorrect conclusions throughtout our lives. Never live in fear. Enjoy the wonderful confidence provided by our Heavenly Father 100% of our time and in all of life serve our loving Savior and each other.

John 19:24b “…This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled…” God has stated with total accuracy past, present and future events. From prior to creation through His second coming God has presented Himself. Christians see, believe and look forward to the fulfillment of God’s promised predictions. There is no fear or doubt as to our future in heaven, only a faith filled knowledge of joyful certainty. Whether a person believes or not does not determine fulfillment. God’s Word alone determines fulfillment. Praise be to God.
