Tell us plainly

John 10:24 “The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying,’ How long will you keep us in suspense?  If are the Messiah, tell us plainly.'” Have you ever been asked the same question over and over, gotten the same answer and then asked the same question again?  That is what the Jews of Jesus’ time did and that is what the people in our time do.  Jesus is the Promised Messiah.  Jesus is our Advocate.  Jesus is our Salvation.  Jesus is God.  Jesus is–and the proof is endless.  Jesus is not the one with the deaf ears–man is! Have a great weekend.

The world’s most phenomenal truth

John 10:14-15 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.” This passage has to be one of the most loving passages in Scripture.  Not only does He know each of us personally and we know Him personally, but also, He willingly died because of His great love for each of us.  There is absolutely no greater love.

Find the right gate

John 10:9 “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.  They will come in and go out, and find pasture.” A gate serves two purposes–to keep one out and to let one in.  Jesus simply says–I am the gate which invites you in–I will make your life on this earth excellent and I will make your eternal life phenomenal.  How can any of us ignore our Savior’s words of ultimate comfort?

Never see death?

John 8:51 “Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.” This verse contains the words of our Savior.  But, aren’t we all going to die?  Answer: yes and no.  For now let’s concentrate on the no.  Your and my soul exists right now and will exist for all eternity.  There is no death involved.  Our faith attests to this truth.  Live to live.  Never live to die.  Know your Savior.  Develop a strong relationship with Him because you will be dear friends with Him forever.

A sometimes thought

John 8:30 “Even as he spoke, many believed in him.” Have you ever thought, with all the chaos in this world, that there are not very many followers of Jesus?  If you thought that—you are wrong.  Even in Jesus’ time it appeared everyone was out to make His life miserable and had a strong desire to kill Him.  Yet, many believed in Him and His wonderful message of grace.  History repeats itself  and both truths are still true today.

Fw: Know the answer

Jesus could not have been clearer throughout the history of the world.  From the fall of man through 2023 He has made Himself known in crystal clear fashion.  Unfortunately, many shut their eyes and minds to our Savior’s very deep concern for the salvation of His creation.  “Who are you” may qualify as the stupidest question ever asked.  Let’s reconsider–that question IS the stupidest question ever asked. Have a great weekend.
