importance of baptism

I Peter 3:21 “and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also —-not be the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.  It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” God has chosen the simple act of baptism to symbolize the relationship He wants between each of His children and Himself.  Each of His followers pledges to a life of serving Him as He asks that He be properly served.  We honor our Savior as we make decisions throughout life, honoring Him and living life with a clear and clean conscience.
