Who is Mother Nature?

Psalm 135:6-7 The Lord does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.  He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth; he sends lightening with the rain and brings out the wind from his storehouses.” When you see clouds you see God’s work.  When you see lightening you see God’s work.  When you see a rainbow you see God’s work.  God is the Master of all.  Why disasters?  We will ask Him when we see Him.

God bless you

Psalm 134:3 “May the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.” The Almighty Sovereign of the universe, our God, The Creator bless you.  What an honor it is for all of us to receive such favor and protection.  It is only appropriate that in turn we bless Him through our words, actions and thoughts.  God bless you is a two way street as is God bless America.

Psalm 130:7 “O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love, and with him is full redemption.” 1. Place full confidence in God.2. His name is love.3. Jesus’ life, death and resurrection is our salvation. This one passage is so packed with God’s wonderfulness that it could be called a summary of the entire Bible, the key to living a successful life and the gateway into Heaven. Have a great weekend.

Do you wait for the morning light?

Psalm 130:6 “My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.” Looking forward to communicating with those you love is one of the greatest joys of life.  Do you communicate with God every morning?  Do you read His Word every morning?  If you do you are enjoying the greatest joy you can have in the morning.  If you don’t, try it.  You will experience the greatest joy of the morning.

Does hope mean maybe

Psalm 130:5 “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.” God’s Biblical definition of hope is far from a maybe.  His entire Book defines hope.  Confident expectation of all of God’s promises defines hope.  God’s promises are absolutely real and are full of hope.  You and I knew Good Friday would be followed by Easter Sunday.  There was no doubt–we had a hope which was because of our Savior’s promise.  We hope our Father will bring us to Himself in Heaven.  Just like Easter was real so our future home in Heaven is as real as real gets.

Does God keep a record?

Psalm 130:3-4 “If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?  But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.” Every morning you or I wake up we are met by our loving Father informing us of our perfection in His eyes because of our loving Savior.  Even though we all have an addiction to sin, He understands and lets His love for each of us begin each day with a perfect slate.  Without question—-God is love.

From Christmas to Easter to Ascension

Psalm 130:3-4 “If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand?  But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.” The entire life of Jesus was to bring you and me into a close relationship with God.  We need perfection to live at the throne of God.  Jesus is that Perfection.  You and I are perfect only because of our loving Savior.  We could not possibly be more blessed.  Merry Christmas–Happy Easter–Wonderful Ascension!

You are blessed

Psalm 128:1-2 “Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways.  You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.” These two verses are not wishes or psychological thoughts meant to counter depression.  These two verses are absolute truths from our Heavenly Father.  You are truly blessed and being blessed means success is yours.  Don’t look to “celebrities”  or “sports heroes”  or anyone else.  Look in the mirror and praise and thank the God who blesses you.  Never compare–always be a thankful, adopted and blessed child of your Savior.  You are blessed beyond measure. Have a great weekend.

Children

Psalm 127:3 “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.” God has blessed His faithful with many blessings.  The greatest earthly blessing He has given to parents is that of children.  That truth is especially seen when young parents have their first child.  We ought to all maintain that happiness throughout our children’s lives even when difficulties and the “growing up” times happen.  Children are a precious gift from our Heavenly Father.

We build with God

Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” All of man’s accomplishments on this earth are only because of the grace of God.  That statement is true both individually and collectively.  You and I have accomplished nothing because of our great abilities.  Yet, you and I have accomplished much because God has enabled us to be successful.  Without Him our accomplishments are failures.  With Him we can do tremendously.  Why would we ever want to live without Him?  Can you imagine how happy this world would be if our Creator was recognized and given the praise He deserves?  Build your life with Jesus—- both eternal joy and success are guaranteed.

Now and forever

Psalm 125:2 “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forevermore.” Our all knowing God understands you and I enjoy visuals which help our understanding.  This passage is a visual.  The purpose?  To paint a picture of His ever presence and the security only He can provide.  Our God again shows His tremendous love for each of us.
