Romans 8:31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? As imperfect human beings we have the impossibe task of understanding our perfect God. Yet, here is a question posed by our perfect God—-since I love you and take care of you, who or what could possibly destroy My perfect relationship with you? The answer is so obvious it is unnecessary—-nothing and noone. The strength provided by our God to each of us is beyond measure. Enjoy living with that beautiful relationship.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God has never nor will He ever fail you. Sometimes that statement just doesn’t seem right. Our human nature many times does not see or understand the will of our God. In times of our own weakness we have to let our faith filled Spirit rule and always realize God is always watching out for us and knows best. We always must live realizing we live to fulfill God’s purpose—not our own purpose.

Romans 8:10 “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.” Unfortunately all of us will die. There is nothing worse on this earth than to die. That is the ultimate punishment all of us will suffer. BUT, while we die we live. We immediately go from the worst to the best. To say our Savior is totally responsible for an eternity of wonder for each of us is an understatement. We will never be able to thank Him enough.

Romans 8:6 “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” Holy Spirit govern our mind. That is a prayer we should pray every morning. Will that prayer limit our joy of living on this earth? Is the rest of the world having more of an enjoyable life? Are we dull missing what life is all about? Living with the Holy Spirit in our lives brings far more joy, contentedness and peace that any earthly pleasure could possibly bring. Ask any of the residents who live in our Recovery houses. You will receive a truthful answer.

Romans 8:5 “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.” Where is your mindset? It is either in obeying God or in not obeying God. The world is simply made of these two camps. Every Christian is in the camp of following God and is being led by the Holy Spirit. Every Christian loves studying the Bible for that is where God exposes Himself and teaches us. His truths always dominate our thinking and our lives. Every faith question is resolved by studying His Word—-Enjoy studying that Word! Have a great weekend.

Romans 5:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” You and I deserve nothing or should I write– you and I deserve the worst life possible and an eternity in Hell. That makes us realize our self worth without our beloved Savior. BUT, we have a Savior. He makes our worth tremendous. He freely gifts us a wonderful feeling of self worth–a gift of a joyful life as faith filled Children of His and a life eternal with Him in the glories of Heaven. There is no greater love. We can say and live nothing other than—THANK YOU, JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD!!

Romans 6:17 “But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.” Thank God you are who you are. Your loyalty is to Him. You live with a heart of thankfulness and obedience. You have a close and binding relationship with your Heavenly Father. Heaven is your Home and your future looks magnificient. Would you consider yourself blessed?

Romans 6:14 “For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.” You and I live with a relationship with our God which is humanly indescribable. You and I should have no fear of death because Heaven is our home while this earthly life is very temporary. You and I live under the joy of grace—never let that joy be diminished by having too much attachment to this world’s pleasures.

Romans 6:6 “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with.” Having faith and living in our faith puts us into a special relationship with our Heavenly Father. In that relationship we have become heirs to eternal life. You and I can enjoy our inheritance while living with faith on this earth realizing Heaven is really our home where we will totally receive the massive benefits paid for by our Savior.

Romans 5:19 “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many were made righteous.” Adam brought extreme tragedy to the world. Nothing could be worse. Because of Adam we all suffer and die. Terrible!!Jesus brings fantastic blessing to you and me. Nothing could be better. Because of Jesus we all have joy and live forever. Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Usually we love those who show a love for us. We find it irrational to love those who hurt us, misunderstand us, don’t listen to us, do anything which seems to enjoy making our lives difficult. God is far different. He loves you and me because He created us and wants us to be His. There is not much about any of us which makes us desireable. Yet, God, in His perfect love makes us His own. There is no greater love!! Thank Him!

Romans 5:3 “…we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” As faithful followers of our God we recognize that in all circumstances we praise Him. When times are the best we praise and rely on God and when times are seemingly the worst we rely on God. He is by our side at all times. We often hear—why God are you allowing this to happpen? For a Christian this passage gives each of us insight. Have you ever told a person–have a day of suffering, you will be blessed because of it. If you ever do tell a person that you will be remembered and maybe that would be a blessing in disguise. We pray for Marilyn:Dear Richard, As we age we may have more and more health issues!
