He sent His only Son.  He has written your name in His Book of Life.  You are secure.  All fear is gone.  What a God we honor!! Please pray for Angela and Grace.  They both need the comfort only you can provide and healing for Grace.  Also Andrew and Matt.  The same comfort only our Savior can provide. Promises kept

Romans 1:2-3 “the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David,” God’s promises are always kept.  His assurances are always met.  He is without fail faithful.  He promised an Advocate. Have a great weekend.

A specific purpose

Romans 1:1 “Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God–” Paul knew God had a very valuable purpose for his life.  His purpose was to serve his Savior in whatever capacity God wanted him to serve.  He listened and served–not himself–but rather, his Heavenly Father.  Today he enjoys living with his Savior. How does all this apply to you and me?  Substitude your name where you see Paul’s name.  Really, reread this passage with your name instead of Paul’s.  You have a God given purpose and as Paul, someday you will receive the rewards of accomplishing that God ordained purpose.

Every Christian’s Doxology

Jude 1:25 “to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and  authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.” Jude expresses his greatfulness to his God for the tremendous amount of love he has received.  His words are heartfelt.  You and I express the same words.  Our actions also coincide.  All of our being should express the same. We often forget we are not our own–we are His.  We can only thank and praise our God by living our lives with the purpose He intends for each of us.

Fw: Unique, short passage

—– Forwarded Message —– From: Richard Waldschmidt Sent: Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 07:32:19 AM EDTSubject: Unique, short passage Jude 1:22 “Be merciful to those who doubt.” Can any of us honestly say we have never doubted?  Can you or I boldly announce we have such a strong faith that our human nature has never in the past nor in the present whispered to us—are you sure?  Do you ever pray and think–is God really listening and will answer me?  God knows you and He knows me and He knows each of us is weak at times and He constantly shows us mercy because of that weakness.  Is His perfect example teaching you and me how we should practice patience and understanding toward others?  Well, reread the passage.

Unique, short passage

Jude 1:22 “Be merciful to those who doubt.” Can any of us honestly say we have never doubted?  Can you or I boldly announce we have such a strong faith that our human nature has never in the past nor in the present whispered to us—are you sure?  Do you ever pray and think–is God really listening and will answer me?  God knows you and He knows me and He knows each of us is weak at times and He constantly shows us mercy because of that weakness.  Is His perfect example teaching you and me how we should practice patience and understanding toward others?  Well, reread the passage.

Your ultimate goal

Jude 1:21 “…keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” The most important gift you or I could ever receive is the gift of eternal life.  This gift is so valuable all the assets of the world are nothing in comparison.  This gift is only a result of the love our God has for each of us.  Why does our Almighty God love you and me so much?  Why would God send Jesus to this earth?  Why does God want you and me to live with Him for all eternity?  Because He does.  We get a small glimpse of an answer by thinking—why do you love your children?  Because you do.  Yet, God’s love is much much greater.  Don’t ask why.  Live in joy, obedience and express a giant–THANK YOU!

Jude wrote for you

Jude 1:1b “To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:” It is beyond our wildest dreams that our God would adopt each of us as His child and love us dearly.  Our wildest dream has come true.  That true thought is almost incomprehensible.  Nothing could start or end our day better. Have a great weekend.

Faithfulness

3 John 1:5 “Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you.” God encourages and compliments you and me for caring for others whether we know them or not.  A Christian remains faithful to his charcter regardless of the character of the person being helped.  We should never lose who we are as always faithful to our Heavenly Father regardless of the faithfulness of anyone else.  Remain faith filled in all situations at all times.  We as Christians cannot do otherwise.

The greatest joy

3 John 1:4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” There is not a Christian father or mother on earth who doesn’t enjoy the actions of their children as they walk in faith.  The same is absolutely true of our Heavenly Father as you and I walk through our earthly life.  We are His children.  We are loved dearly by our Father and enjoyed by Him as we follow Him in all we do.  You and I will make every effort, with His help, to make our earthly father (assuming he is faith filed) and Heavenly Father filled with joy.

A thought for us all

3 John 1:3 “It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth.” John only wanted to speak truth, write truth, have friends who did the same and hear from other friends that the truth was their life.  John knew Jesus and therefore he knew exactly what truth was, is and forever will be.  Aren’t you and I blessed to know John, be able to study the words he wrote and 100% rely on his inspired words of truth.  Jesus lives and therefore so will we!

The best contact

II John 1:12 “I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink.  Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.” If John wrote today he might use words like snapchat, text, zoom, facebook, linked in or the other multitude of social media methods of communication; however, they all fail to accomplish what face to face contact accomplishes.   Jesus could have come to earth via giant theatre screen or individual text message or… but He came in person.  We can attend church via zoom, google meet, go to meeting, etc. but nothing beats personal contact.  God thinks personal contact is so important that He planted the Holy Spirit within you—now that is personal.
