Psalm 119:90 “Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.” How wonderful it is to know that the love, concern, peace and hope which you and I enjoy solely because of the love our Almighty God has for you and me is a gift which your children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and others to follow will also be able to experience and enjoy. God’s faithfulness, sacrificial and unfailing love is true today and will be forever.

Psalm 119:89 “Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.” To whom else’s word or discussion or presentation or thought can we state the above verse applies? There is no one. Each of us, in all our knowledge, experience, technology, education or any intellect comes close to even understanding the glory of God. We all fall short of our magnificent God. That truth is what makes His love for us and His sending His Son to redeem us so outstanding. What a phenomenal God we love in return.

Psalm 119:81 “My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.” God’s words are absolute truths. Our confidence in His truths is with absolute certainty. You and I are not used to those two statements. Nothing on this earth is absolute. Real estate prices can plunge or rise. The same is true of all investments including with supposed maximum security assets. Even life and health is an unknown. Our God does not want you or me to feel insecure in regard to our relationship with Him. He wants that relationship to be as tight as tight gets. You and I pray for such confidence. Psalm 119:76 “May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.” God is perfect. God never fails. God never breaks a promise. Living with God at your side is like nothing else. The comfort and peace He provides is found nowhere else. And the most beautiful truth: His love is both without change and is eternal. God’s love is unfailing.

Psalm 119:73 “Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.” This passage is one of many which credit God for creating or forming every single person which, of course, includes you and me. God formed you. You are not just the result of a sexual act of mother nature. Much of the world removes this thought and distortedly disallows our God’s involvement. That mentality discredits both God and His Bible. That mentality exposes man’s wretched ability to follow many Old Testament families who not only sacrificed their children but did such horrible things to them that I will not write it here—look up the facts yourself and you will be horrified.

Psalm 119:54 “The earth is filled with your love, O Lord; teach me your decrees.” You and I always have the thought on our minds–God teach me. Teach me love; teach me wisdom; teach me knowledge; simply teach me–I am an eager student. Thank God, God is patient. We are not quick learners and we are forgetful children. But, the truth is: God never gives up on us because His love for each of us endures forever.

Psalm 119:50 “My comfort in my suffering is this; Your promise preserves my life.” All of us realize our lives on this earth are full of happiness, yet also full of sadness. We many times physically hurt, mentally hurt and our hearts hurt. Yet, through all this difficulty we always have the sure promise of the love and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father. That promise far outweighs all the pain of this earthly life. That promise fills our lives with peace and contentedness. Have a great weekend.

Psalm 119:41 “May your unfailing love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise.” You and I can find it difficult to understand that God’s unfailing love applies, not to the crowd of Christians or the group of the faithful, but to you and me individually. His promises, His unfailing love is for and to you. He has His arms wrapped around you. He holds your hand. He carries you. Why does He care so much for you? Answer: fold your hands and ask Him. Open your heart and feel His unfailing love for YOU! Let your children know this wonderful truth.

Psalm 119:32 “I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.” Every Christian lives with the joy of freedom. God’s ways and expectations for each of us give a freedom in life to live the most contented and joyful life known. Life is to be led with joy, respect, faithfulness and love. There are no handcuff rules as are found in all other religions. Christian hearts are all motivated by love. What a beautiful way to live.

Psalm 119:27 “Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders.” Understanding our God is the constant desire of every child of His. We continually study and read His Word. We read what others write about our God. We pray for His wisdom, not the thinking of this world. We are continually amazed by His power, omniscience, omnipresence. God is an amazing God. There is no earthly word to describe Him. How wonderful it is that He lovingly carries each of us throughout life.
