Romans 10:17 “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.” If you never heard God’s Word you would not know Him. Someone thought it important that you know God. Your life on this earth and your eternal life were at stake. Without hearing and believing the Gospel message life become a meaningless existence. What is your and my responsibility? As simple as simple gets. Tell others–our children, friends, neighbors, the world–about the saving truth of the Gospel. Big job. Simple job. The most important job in the world.

Romans 10:12 “For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.” Does skin color, country of origin, age or language one speaks determine the love of God? Absolutely not! Jesus lived, died and rose for all. Every person we see on the street has been bought by our Savior with His precious blood. Every child formed in the womb is precious to our Savior. There is no difference. Our God, without question, blesses all who praise Him. That is exactly why you are blessed!

Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Faith does not carry a complex formula. Faith could not be simpler: confess and believe. All the massive benefits freely given by our Almighty God are based on this simple truth–confess and believe. Man’s problem is the little word–if. If is the most eternally destructive word possible. Many allow that tiny word to ultimately be their disaster. Eliminate if. Confess and believe. Simple.

Romans 9:30-32 “What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did nor pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not obtained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not be faith but as if it were by works.” It is a total waste of time, effort and thought to pursue God through good works. We cannot with all our beings try and buy our way into salvation. Jesus, our Savior, is our only way into God’s heart. A child-like faith, founded on trust is the magic key. No other key works. To think good works bring salvation will only result in continually failed frustration. The only answer to Faith or works is—Faith!

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The love of God for you and me is sealed. Nothing can make us more content, secure and live in an ultra tight relationship with the Magnificent God of the Universe. What a privilege for me to write and for you to read this truth. Romans 8:31-32 “What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” God’s love for mankind is immeasurable. That only means–God’s love for you is not only huge–it is beyond your comprehension. He created you. He gives you your talents. He showers you with blessings. He will bring you to Himself for all eternity. The same is true for me and every other person of true faith. What a magnificent and loving God we love.

Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” We love our God. That love is received by God who in turn showers blessings on us. When you shower the unavoidable result is your entire body getting affected with wet water. You enjoy a warm thorough shower. Enjoy the warm shower of blessings given to you because of the great love of God. Love Him with all your heart.

Romans 8:18 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed within us.” This life on earth is full of pain and heartache. No one escapes. Yet, attitude is everything. How can you and I say we are fine when we are going through earthly suffering and be telling the truth? We can all enjoy saying–fine–because our future couldn’t look better! I don’t know how your past looked or how your present is but I do know that with our Savior at our side our future could not look better!

Romans 8:17 “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and coheirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Children of God and heirs of eternal life—that is who you and I are. That is a simple thought to write but, the thought is beyond our wildest dreams. We say those words. We believe the thoughts. What a fabulous truth Paul is expressing. Children and heirs–what could be more magnificent!!

Romans 8:5 “Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the the Spirit desires.” Everyone on this earth walks to a drumbeat. There are two drumbeats. One, the easiest and most often followed: enjoy the lifestyle of me first and earthly pleasure dominates. The other, #2: put God first and have the continual thought of our God’s will and the sacrificial love of our Savior dominate our life. The #2 drumbeat is a much softer sound, but brings with it a peace and security #1 will never understand. Choose #2 and enjoy walking with your Heavenly Father forever. Have a great weekend.

Romans 8:19, 24,25 “For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God–through Jesus Christ our Lord. These verses are the exact mentality of addicts who relapse. Wouldn’t you then conclude we are all addicts who relapse? We are all addicted to sin and we keep on repeating like a rapid fire machine gun. Our gun, our addiction, would be totally out of control were it not for the sacrifice of our Savior. Now we appear before God, no longer addicted, but free and guiltless before His loving throne. Again, Thank You, Jesus!

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” If any of us could escape the fate of our sinfulness we would. The sad truth is we will all suffer death. That would be a horrifying thought if we did not also live with the confident expectation of the ultimate joy of eternal life in Heaven, living forever with loved ones and our God. All Christians when leaving this earth enter the most blessed existence possible. That is worth dying for.
