Psalm 119:45 “I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.” To obey God and follow His Word requires a heart which loves His authority and for one to look forward to being subject to that authority. With that mindset one has the enjoyable privilege of living life with the freedom of a clear conscience and living life with one’s Savior constantly at his/her side. What could be better? Psalm 119:43 “Never take your word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws.” You and I always want to remain faithful to our God. We always want to share the hope only He provides both on this earth and eternally. The hope or confidence only He can provide is essential to our security and happiness while we experience life. We praise and thank Him for having chosen each of us to be His adopted children.

Psalm 119:41 “May your unfailing love come to me, Lord, your salvation, according to your promise;” God’s love for you and me is beyond our comprehension. His desire for His children (you and me) to be with Himself is also the best news we will ever hear. The fact that our eternal life with Him is guaranteed is unfathomable. How could any of us not want to honor and be faithful to our Almighty God.

Psalm 119:40 “How I long for your precepts! In your righteousness preserve my life.” Every Christian has a strong desire to live the life God wants him/her to live. There is never a whimsical attitude of take it or leave it. Every Christian desires a life of purpose, following God’s path, studying His Word and both living and telling His story. How blessed we are as we follow His guidance.

Psalm 119:37 “Turn my eyes away from useless things; preserve my life according to your word.” This passage speaks directly to living with worthwhile purpose. Anything we do on this earth which brings us to a closer relationship with our God is worthwhile and anything which does not is worthless: maybe not only worthless, but detrimental.Focus on purposeful living with Heaven as our goal and earth as our preparation location.
