A praise Psalm

Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding.  To him belongs eternal praise.” Successful living begins when one first realizes God is God and the loving relationship He instigates begins.  Wisdom and understanding become traits of a person.  This is not to say perfection takes place for a person.  Perfection is impossible on this earth.  Faithfulness is the key.  The “bit” of the key are wisdom and understanding.  Praise God.

God is Great

Psalm 111:2 “Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.” From Creation to Resurrection to His great love for you and me; we can only praise our Heavenly Father.  Never doubt, never fear, always trust, always live in comfort.  That’s the blessed life of His children.

Live in victory

Psalm 108:12b-13a “…for human help is worthless.  With God we will gain the victory…” The famous song, “I’m But a Stranger Here, Heaven Is My Home” written by Thomas Taylor and published in 1835 is the same thought as this part of Scripture.  God is to be Supreme in our lives and if He is not only sadness can be the result.  When God speaks, you and I will do well when and as we listen. A person can read all the human psychology books and never gain what is explained in one’s Bible.  Be blessed–Study His Word–Gain the victory.

No comparison

Psalm 108::4 “For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” David, our author, recognized God as the ultimate–his guide, comforter and keeper of His promises.  David, just like every faithful believer, enjoyed God’s love.  How great is God’s love?  David explains–higher than the skies!  That is wonderful and phenomenal.  How blessed we are.

Steadfast means?

Psalm 108:1 “My heart. O God, is steadfast; I will sing and make music with all my soul.” The key word is steadfast.  As solid as granite.  As strong a foundation as is possible. Steadfastness is a gift from God to you and me.  Martin Luther expressed this thought in a hymn he wrote–“A Mighty Fortress is Our God”.  The words worry or fear are eliminated and calm confidence, peace and trust are the precious gifts.  You and I couldn’t be more blessed. Have a great weekend.
