Loving pleasure–good or bad?

Proverbs 21:17 “Whoever loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.” The pleasures of this world can easily blind many to lead a life seeking the supposed pleasures of life.  And why not?  Isn’t that what living life is all about?  Our Father tells us that is not only foolish thinking—it is extremely detrimental thinking.  That thinking will lead to a life of depression and a craving always for more.  To live with comfort and peace is to crave a life of the wisdom and knowledge found in obedience to our God.  That is the only way to experience the joy and peace of truly living life.
