Walk synonymously!!

I John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son purifies us from all sin.” Blood and life are synonymous.  Light and Jesus are synonymous.  You and Child of God are synonymous.  Walking in Light and having a tight relationship with God are synonymous.  You being sinless before your Heavenly Father and Jesus being your Advocate are synonymous.  Isn’t walking in Light a wonderful way to live synonymously with your Savior!!!

Dark or Light?

I John 1:5b “…God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.” To know God is to study His Word.  People can imagine God.  People can form their own conception of God.  People can persuade people about their version of God.  The world is full of religious gobbledygook nonsense.  Visible and invisible worshipped idols are everywhere.  Opinions without foundation abound.  The only result of all the preceding is darkness.  It all is meaningless.  The world is searching for Light.  God has so generously gifted Light to you and me.  It is our responsibility to read and study His Word for therein is Light.  Very simple truth— isn’t it? Angela asks that we pray for Matthew as he is having major heart surgery.  Let’s talk to God about Matthew. Have a great weekend.

History not recorded

John 21:25 “Jesus did many other things as well.  If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.” Jesus lived on this earth for 30 some years.  His life was full of meaningful activity.  Are 1% of these activities recorded?  None of us really know.  What we are absolutely positive of is this:  Jesus came to this earth only because of His love for you and me.  His Book records His life, death and resurrection.  Even though that truth could have been recorded by one author one time, the truths are recorded multiple times by multiple authors with zero contradictions–that is remarkable.  What a wonderful Savior we enjoy walking by our side.  Thank you, with all our heart, Jesus.

Mind your own business

John 21:22 “Jesus answered,’ If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.”‘ Our human nature often accuses others of doing wrong while justifying all our own activities.  Jesus warns against that thinking.  His advise to each of us is to be careful in our own lives, thoughts and actions.  Be sure our own faith is strong and we follow the will of our Heavenly Father and we will have more than enough to keep ourselves busy.  Have a unique, devout and close relationship with our Savior and be sure that love relationship never falters.

Seems contradictory

John :19 “Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God.  Then he said to him,’ Follow me.'” We sometimes think the life of a Christian should be full of roses.  Jesus wants each of us to know that is not the life to expect as you and I represent our God.  The world generally does not consider God and His Bible as the source of absolute truth.  Man looks to himself as an evolutionary being where truth is determined because of man’s unique ability to dominate.  How do you as a Christian prove this mental attitude wrong?  You don’t–no need.  Time is always the winner and in God’s time all He has told us will be proven true.  Serve Him–suffer for Him–live for Him.  Your reward is coming–be confident in that truth.
