Why does God care?

Psalm 144:3 “O Lord, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him?” David’s humility is dominating his thinking.  Your and my humility has to dominate our thinking.  We have to be so thankful that our God’s unfailing love dominates His thinking and actions.  To be His adopted children is a blessing far beyond our wildest dreams.  That thought alone is a blessing none of us will ever understand.  Our Heavenly Father’s love is wonderful and real.  What more can we say?

My loving God

Psalm 144:2 “He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.” David cannot write enough about the God of the Universe, his personal Savior, his everything which is good.  He relies on his God, places his full confidence in Him and enjoys the total security his Heavenly Father freely and lovingly gives to him.  What a wonderful relationship David has with God.  Aren’t you and I the same?  How blessed we are!

Who’s will?

Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” How many wills function at the same time?  1. My will  2. Your will  3. Satan’s will  4. God’s will  5. Your neighbor’s will  6. The government’s will  7. Society’s will  8. Anyone or anything that affects your or anyone else’s life.  What makes God’s will Supreme?  Exactly, He is Supreme.  His will NEVER fails. Why would you or I consider anything else?  We always pray—Thy will be done!

An important morning

Psalm 143:8 “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” Every morning begins a new day.  Every morning we have to thank our God for new life.  Every morning we love to thank our God for His unfailing love.  Every morning we realize again we can place 100% of our trust in Him.  Every morning we ask Him to guide us.  Every morning we live our routine and must include Him or our day cannot possibly be well.  Be well every morning–that is our prayer.

The truth

Psalm 143:2 “Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.” Do you ever look into the mirror and say to yourself—boy, do I look good?  How about-do you ever look into a mirror and say—boy, do I need a Savior.  Maybe both are true; however the second statement is definitely true. Have a great weekend.
