Psalm 115:1 “Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” I have developed a portfolio few attain. I eat nutritionally and work out so I am in very good shape. I am a good contributor to charities and am recognized as being generous. I volunteer for various events, so that’s fulfilling my civic responsibilities. Do you see the outstanding mistaken thinking? “I” dominates. Humility is lacking. Credit is going to the wrong party. You and I have to reread this passage and appreciate our magnificent Lord. Thanks and praise be to God!

Psalm 119:5 “Who is like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high?” This is the most rhetorical known to man. The answer is so obvious there is no need for an answer. Our Psalmist writes praising God because His might and majesty is far beyond even our comprehension. Why would God love you and me? Another true statement beyond our comprehension. Accept it. Live it. We thank Him with all our heart.

Psalm 113:3 “From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.” When you and I consider how blessed we are, how can we not praise God all day every day? Does this statement hold true in sickness and in health?-in life and in death?–in good times and in bad? Our Psalmist does not distinguish whatever emotional setting we are in. God’s love never fails–that is the definition of faith. We pray for such a strong faith.

Psalm 113:1 “Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord.” Of the 15 words of this passage 12 express the thought: Praise the Lord. The other 3 words refer to you and me.Is there any possibility God is telling us to have Him on our minds 80% of the time and think of ourselves, as His faithful, adopted, loved children 20% of the time? Or is God telling us to involve our Almighty God in our lives 100% of the time as we are blessed by Him 100% of the time as we live life?You decide. Have a great weekend.

Psalm 112:6-7 “Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” Common human traits are fear and anxiety. Unfortunately, these emotions are also owned by Christians and much and various medication is prescribed to help one relax. God, through our Psalmist, has a beautiful and extremely effective medication–trust in Me and fear, worry and anxiety will be a thing of the past. What a blessing trust is with great reward.
