Proverbs 15:3 “The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” I am in trouble—God is watching me all the time. I am in a constant state of protection—God is watching me all the time. Would we rather have God leave us every once in a while so we can be on our own? That would be a tragic mistake. God watches over me 100% of the time–nothing could be better. Have a great weekend.

Proverbs 15:2 “The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.” Always carefully think before you speak. When we just speak with no careful thought prior to expressing ourselves we betray ourselves and any display of sound character. We never want to be classified as a fool; and we won’t be if we think before we speak.

Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Always have self control because if one doesn’t there will be regretful words which will hurt both the person speaking and the person spoken to. If one is angry, the best thing to do is nothing. Wait, maybe even wait for a long period of time, maybe never respond because a person out of control will remain out of control and regrets are the only result.

Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.” The introductory ceremony of the Olympics could not have been more depraved. God was mocked. Why would anyone intentionally make such an introduction while the outstanding athletes are about to compete after much long hard work? At times man is as deprived as deprived gets. Fortunately, there was also a large group who sang and gave glory to our Creator. So, as usual mankind produced a faithful honor to God by some and a dishonor by others. The question is: where do you and I stand?

Proverbs 14:32 “When calamity comes, the wicked are brought down, but even in death the righteous seek refuge in God.” Because of sin life on earth is a struggle. There are only two ways to handle the struggles: Become depressed, anxious, run and suffer deeper consequences living with regrets or realize life on earth is full of struggles but God is by our side either holding our hand or carrying each of us. One relies on our selves, the other relies on our Savior. The wiser is without question relying on our Savior.
