Psalm 122:1 “I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.'” Who do you enjoy being with? Those who live by the rule–eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow you die. Or do you enjoy those who say and live by— eat, drink and be merry giving all praise to God for tomorrow we will live for eternity in heaven. What a huge difference. One prepares while one despairs.

Psalm 121:8 “the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” God has never abandoned you or me and He never will. You and I have weakness but our God does not. The security He provides gives us a comfort we have never and will never experience anywhere else. How great it is to be loved by our Heavenly Father!

Psalm 121:3 “He will not let your foot slip–he who watches over you will not slumber.” It is impossible to have a more loving God. Can I repeat? It is impossible to have a more loving Heavenly Father. How about–It is impossible to have a more loving Savior. Once again–It is impossible to have a more loving Holy Spirit. It is impossible to have a more loving God. Can we put the truth statement into our heart, mind and spirit—It is impossible to have a more loving God!!!

Psalm 121:2 “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” If Darwinian faith is true the Christian faith is false. If the Christian faith is true, Darwin’s theories are false. At first these statements might seem unimportant but as we look at just this passage we find an extreme importance in these statements. Our Creator is also our Comforter. Without Him we have nothing. With Him we have everything. Which should we choose–Darwin or our Creator? The answer is obvious.

Psalm 119:176 “I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands.” The last verse of Psalm 119 defines us all. Never do any of us want to be deserted by our Savior. When we stray from Him, and we all do, we want our God to always find us and return us to Himself. We can never thank our Savior enough for His redemptive work. We close this chapter with a sincere THANK YOU!!

—– Forwarded Message —– From: Richard Waldschmidt Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2021, 07:08:38 AM EDTSubject: whose pleasure? Psalm 119:175 “Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws sustain me.” Notice the first half of this verse. You and I live much of our lives with the thought—let me live for my own pleasure—let me live to satisfy myself. Is our Psalmist telling us to live to praise God in all of our thoughts, words and actions? He surely is. You and I must pray again–Thy will be done. Let me live that I may praise You!

Psalm 119:171 “May my lips overflow with praise, for you teach me your decrees.” Our magnificent God is the absolutely best teacher. If you and I follow His instruction we live very good lives. When we do follow His instruction we do live very good lives. When we fail we suffer the consequences. The words which should be continually on our lips are—God, teach me Your will and help me live accordingly.

Psalm 119:162 “May my cry come before you, O Lord; give me understanding according to your word.” Many daily discussions, disagreements, opinions etc. could easily be resolved if God’s Word would be used as the authority. Human opinion is endless. God’s Word is authoritative. Therefore, you and I, if we are wise will always ask ourselves and state God’s revealed truth therefore eliminating man’s questionable opinions. Have a great weekend.

Psalm 119:162 “I rejoice in your promise like one who finds great spoil.” God’s Book is full of promises. None of them are nonchalantly written. Trust, faith, contentedness, successful living, perseverance, commitment, love, earthly life and eternity all are subjects God addresses with detail and promise. His Book is so rich in promise and thought it should be our #1 asset in all of our wills. Buy His Book for all your heirs and It will become their greatest treasure, putting all of life and eternity in proper perspective.

Psalm 119:156: “Your compassion is great, O Lord; preserve my life according to your laws.” Compassion is one of the most loving words in the English language. Compassion is not–have a nice day–compassion is–I will make sure you have a GREAT day. Those are God’s words to you and me for He has compassion for you and me. Nothing is greater than the care or compassion that God has for His children–you and me! Live enjoying His compassion! You will have a GREAT day!

Psalm 119:144 “Your statutes are forever right; give me understanding that I may live.” There is, never has been and never will be a need to rewrite the Bible. All of its truths endure perpetually. All of its words, principles and guidance have stood without question for centuries. Because some have not or do not realize the absolute truths found in Scripture has no effect on their validity. We praise God for His absolute and perpetual truths.
