Live in freedom

Psalm 119:32 “I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.” Every Christian lives with the joy of freedom.  God’s ways and expectations for each of us give a freedom in life to live the most contented and joyful life known.  Life is to be led with joy, respect, faithfulness and love.  There are no handcuff rules as are found in all other religions.  Christian hearts are all motivated by love.  What a beautiful way to live.

Understand God

Psalm 119:27 “Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders.” Understanding our God is the constant desire of every child of His.  We continually study and read His Word.  We read what others write about our God.  We pray for His wisdom, not the thinking of this world.  We are continually amazed by His power, omniscience, omnipresence.  God is an amazing God.  There is no earthly word to describe Him.  How wonderful it is that He lovingly carries each of us throughout life.

Get directions

Psalm 119:24 “Your statutes are my delight; they are my counsellors.” It would be foolish to ignore the direction of a wise counsellor.  Failure can only result if impetuous thinking and actions dominate our lives.  To ignore what God in His Word has to say is to ignore the contentedness and peace which He only can provide.  Jesus came to this earth to live, die and rise because of His great love for each of us.  It would be foolish to ignore His wise counsel.   Have a great weekend.

Where is home?

Psalm 119:19a “I am a stranger on earth…” No matter where we live, no matter how many homes we own on this earth, heaven is our home.  Often your and my thoughts include a fear of leaving this earth and leaving all our possessions, family, friends and beautiful environment .  We fear entering the astonishingly beautiful environment prepared for each of us.  How can we be so short sighted and have such a lack of faith? God, give us such a faith that we look forward to the home you personally have created for each of us.

What is a heart?

Psalm 119:11 “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Your heart is your innermost being.  Your soul is who you are.  Your heart, your soul defines you even as what you see in the mirror identifies your outer looks.  God has molded both your outer body and your inner soul.  Neither your outer body or your inner soul are living by accident.  Both the body and soul are to be used by each of us to give glory to our Heavenly Father, our Creator.  Treat both the outer and the inner as precious gifts which make you both unique and blessed.

Thank You!

Psalm 118:29 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” You and I would live empty lives only searching for thrills of this world if we did not know the love of our Heavenly Father. His love for us and our love for Him changes everything. And let me emphasize everything. We now have meaning and purpose and helping others as important lasting reasons for living. We now have a contentedness which does not exist anywhere else. How can we do anything other than thank God for His tremendous love for each of us and the life He so generously encourages us to live.

The Fruit of The Spirit

Galatians 5:22-23 22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
