John 6:35 “Then Jesus declared,’I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”‘ It is impossible for Jesus to be clearer. He did not come to earth for any other reason than to witness to the truth. It is impossible for Jesus to speak anything other than the truth. The sad truth is many make up their own truth and substitute their thinking as if their thinking had authority. Thank God that He has given you the faith which rests on the firm Truth which rewards you with peace on earth and life everlasting. Please pray for Stephanie’s son who was seriously injured in a footbal accident and that he recovers from a severe concussion.

John 6:33 “For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” San Francisco Boudin sourdough bread is undoubtedly the most popular sourdough bread in the world. If you were told to buy a loaf and you would have eternl life and the statement was true–wouldn’t you buy at least one loaf and wait with major anticipation for it to be shipped to you? You might even drive or fly to San Francisco to buy a loaf. Do you live with such anticipation in studying God’s Word where the Bread of Life can truly be found?

He says–never go hungry, never be thirsty. Anyone who believes those simple words will have peace on earth and enjoy eternity in Heaven. Why so many make this truth so difficult is so foolish. John 6:27 “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.” We, in America enjoy the benefits of living in a country where richness abounds. We can easily succumb to a life which puts eternity and our Heavenly Father secondary and pleasures on this earth as primary. Let’s not let that happen. Let’s listen to the wisdom of our Savior through the words of His servant John. I am sad to tell you one of the guys at our Lighthouse ministry was sentenced yesterday to 5 years in prison. Please pray that he faithfully continues serving his Heavenly Father and is safe as he serves his sentence.

John 6:5-6 “When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, ‘Where should we buy bread for these people to eat?’ He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.” Does God ever test your and my insecurities? God constantly reminds us—Trust me. But do we many times try and solve our problems and forget our problem solving God walks by our side? God tells us to use our God given talents, but always remember, He is constantly at our side—live with that confidence.

John 5:30b “…for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.” This thought from God goes totally against our human nature, At the same times this thought totally conforms to our God nature. What are you and I to do? As a faith-filled, adopted, loved and redeemed child of God we have no choice but to pray we do our Father’s will. John 5:24a “‘Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life…”‘ Every religion on earth uses the word –do– except Christianity which uses the word —done—. Reread our passage for today and you will find the word—done—written all over it. You and I can do nothing to gain the perfection God demands. Jesus has done it all. Therefore,–done. Be very happy because of the little word–done.
