God makes it clear-enabling is essential

Romans 11:6 “And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.” God used our author to make a definite and absolute point—you and I are saved by grace.  You and I can do nothing –nothing- to earn salvation.  God enables each of us to have a relationship with Himself only because of His love for each of us.  Normally we would conclude enabling is something we should not do.  God says without enabling we are lost—He is the Greatest Enabler to ever exist.  Thank God for His love, His enabling character and His having saved us by His grace alone.

You are not aone

Romans 11:5 “So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.” Elijah thought he was alone in his faith commitment.  God assured Elijah there were thousands of other faith filled followers.  Have you ever thought–is there anyone else who truly believes as a Christian should believe?  Evolution, abortion, greed, immoral living, LGBTQ+ has become the ridiculous LGBTQQIP2SAA.  Is a God fearing and God loving mentality a thinking of long ago?  Far from it!  God’s grace rules the world–we just should not be so quiet!

Tell others

Romans 10:14b “..And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” A parent’s responsibility is to teach their children.  Without teaching a child will not only live aimlessly, the child will do him/her self harm.  A Christian’s responsibility is to teach those who do not know their Savior.  Without teaching a person will not only live aimlessly, but the person will do themselves harm.Thank whoever taught you!

Declare and believe

Romans 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Declare and believe and you will be saved–what a phenomenal promise.  Salvation is guaranteed by declaring and believing.  We will all enter eternity–why woud anyone in their right mind not declare and believe?  Thank God for having blessed you and me with a right mind!  Nothing is more valuable.

works vs. faith

Romans 9:32m “…they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works…” You and I can do nothing to gain eternal life.  We live and die by faith.  We receive all the benefits of being children of God because of the advocacy work of our Savior.  We live under the wonderful umbrella of grace only which is a free and loving gift from our Savior.  Our good works show our appreciation for His grace.  If we think otherwise we detract from the the total work and love for us expressed in our Savior’s indescribable love.  Good works are a natural action of appreciation, nothing more and nothing less.

God is a potter

Romans 9:21 “Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?” God has a purpose for all of us.  We have all been created by Him to give glory to Him by using whatever talents He has given to each of us.  In considering our purpose we must always be asking ourselves both is this what God would have me do and does what I do give glory to God?   We are living on this earth to faithfully serve Him and not selfishly serve ourselves.

God’s mercy

Romans 9:16 “It does not, therefore, depend on human desire, but on God’s mercy.” You and I, as chosen children of God, have to be as appreciative as appreciation gets.  God has adopted you.  God has adopted me.  There is not a greater honor anyone can realize.  A lot of fanfare was recently displayed in England.  That celebration is nothing compared to the honor God has given each of us by adopting each of us as His dear child.  Always live your life giving Him glory and showing genuine appreciation.

What makes you a child of God?

Romans 9:8 “In other words, It is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.” By faith you and I have inherited the awesome right to be called the child of God.  Can we take a second and realize what that means?  A child of God!! There is nothing more awesome.  You and I have an inherited relationship which is so awesome we find it impossible to comprehend.  You and I are a child of the Most High!  What great love we enjoy!

Nothing can

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers , neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Could there be anything more magnificent? Have a great weekend.

A rhetorical question

Romans 8:31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these things?  If God is for us, who can be against us? As imperfect human beings we have the impossibe task of understanding our perfect God.  Yet, here is a question posed by our perfect God—-since I love you and take care of you, who or what could possibly destroy My perfect relationship with you?  The answer is so obvious it is unnecessary—-nothing and noone.  The strength provided by our God to each of us is beyond measure.  Enjoy living with that beautiful relationship.

God walks with you

Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God has never nor will He ever fail you.  Sometimes that statement just doesn’t seem right.  Our human nature many times does not see or understand the will of our God.  In times of our own weakness we have to let our faith filled Spirit rule and always realize God is always watching out for us and knows best.  We always must live realizing we live to fulfill God’s purpose—not our own purpose.

Within every faith filled Christian

Romans 8:10 “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.” Unfortunately all of us will die.  There is nothing worse on this earth than to die.  That is the ultimate punishment all of us will suffer.  BUT, while we die we live.  We immediately go from the worst to the best.  To say our Savior is totally responsible for an eternity of wonder for each of us is an understatement.  We will never be able to thank Him enough.
