Psalm 102:12 “But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations.” God has always been and always will be. Nothing compares. And to think that God loves you and me is both true and far beyond our understanding. How blessed we are. How can we do anything other than honor, love and praise Him as faithful adopted children.

Psalm 102:11 “My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.” Our human nature hates this passage while our God nature loves this passage. With all the difficulties this short life forces each of us to endure we happily look forward to an eternal time when nothing sad happens and joy is constant. No heath issues, no conflicts, no unnecessary worries, no disappointments–heaven is almost impossible to imagine. Given the truth of this passage, how can we do anything other than desire an extremely close relationship with our Savior?

Psalm 102:2 “Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.” If only you and I could physically see our Heavenly Father and His angels as they live by our side every moment of every day. Our level of confidence would rise where God wants it to be. We, at times, live with anxiety and depression, not because of God, but rather because of ourselves and our lack of trust and confidence caused by our human nature. The sad truth is: none of us are exempt. We all need to constantly pray–God, give me the strength and confidence to totally trust you and never allow fear to be a part of me. Make my trust level always be 1000% as You want it to be. In Jesus’ name we pray. Have a great weekend.

Psalm 101:6 “My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me.” How do you choose whom you will hang out with? Are friends based on social status? Are friends based on income level? Are friends based on drinking buddies? Is there no criteria, or does God in this passage have a wise thought? God is saying–choose as friends those who are faithful to Him. If you and I want to be faithful to God, choose to surround ourselves with those who are faithful to God. A truth is: those whom you choose to surround yourself is a sure indicator of who you are. Be careful.

Psalm 101:1 “I will sing of your love and justice; to you, Lord, I will sing praise.” Our human nature does not allow us to understand the tremendous blessing of love. Of paramount importance is the love our Father has for each of us. If we comprehended that love, our days would be filled with honor and praise and we would not be as self-centered as we all tend to be. David, in this verse, expresses himself as you and I should also. What a wonderful God we are extremely thankful for!
