Not a depressing truth

Psalm 103:15-16 “The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like the flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.” You probably remember your grandfather, but how about your great grandfather and no one remembers their great great grandfather.  Why this thought?  God’s wisdom teaches: flourish, excel, enjoy life on this earth but always keep in mind–heaven is your home–so live accordingly.

Parents/children

Psalm 1003:13 “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;” Only a parent who loses a child understands the sadness that loss produces for the life of a parent. A loving bond has been dissolved.  A natural love is taken away.  God has that unique love for each of us, His children.  Those who have a loving relationship with the only true God rest in His arms and enjoy a love relationship which is indescribable and beyond measure.

One can’t get farther

Psalm 103:12 “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” For us to inherit eternal life and have a relationship with our Heavenly Father you and I must be perfect.  Our Savior has miraculously accomplished that.  His life, death and resurrection has performed this greatest miracle of all time.  Does this give us the freedom to live whatever life we choose?  Absolutely not!  Rather, because of our Savior and His redemptive work, you and I have a strong faith and a deep desire to honor Him through every motion we take and every thought we think.  We pray for His constant help. Have a great weekend.

This is unbelievable

Psalm 103:11 “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him.” When we think of the magnificence of God and His ability to do whatever he chooses and then realize He chooses to love, not just put up with, not just like, but to love each of us–His children, we have to be both humbled and be as happy as happy gets.  What a wonderful, loving God we praise.

Describe God

Psalm 103:8″The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” Every parent can learn how to parent from this passage.  Every Christian can learn how to practice their faith from this passage.  Every child of God realizes from this passage the blessed life they live because of the absolute truth of this passage.  What a wonderful passage!
