Psalm 41:13 “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen. Our minds cannot comprehend the complete thought of this verse. We are only capable of thinking of beginnings and endings. We speak and hear the word forever but our minds are incapable of understanding the concept. We have nothing to relate without time. Yet, because God has David write it we believe even though we don’t understand. All of God’s promises fit into the same category–we have the faith of a child listening to a parent. God says it–we, with wisdom, knowing God, believe.

Psalm 41:1 “Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.” At times all of us are weak. At times all of us are strong. There is never a time when we are too weak or too strong to live without the love and grace of our Heavenly Father. When we are weak we pray for His strength. When we are strong we pray for humility. Conclusion: Weak or strong—we need our Savior.

Psalm 40:11 “Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.” Even though King David lived about 3000 years ago his prayer applies now and will until this earth comes to an end. You and I need our God’s mercy, love and faithfulness. Since we enjoy those 3 qualities we live in comfort and contentedness. Right now it is 16 degrees outside in Wisconsin, yet it is very comfortable while I type this message to you. Our God always has us live in His comfort. Enjoy Him!

Psalm 40:10 “I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly.” Should i keep God’s truths to myself? Should I tell others of our loving and gracious God? What if I lose friends if I tell others about the truths God tells us? What do I do when people disagree with me? Lots of questions—the answer according to God—do not hide; speak; do not conceal; be faithful.
