Total confidence

Psalm 18:32 “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.” God is personal.  We often picture God as the magnificent God of the Universe and forget He is concerned for each of His children, of which you are one.  Our Savior is our best friend.  That defines an individual and unique relationship.  The unique confidence He gives each of us shows His love as personal and never failing.  You and I can only thank and praise Him.

Perfect and flawless

Psalm 18:30 “As for God, his way is perfect; The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.” God=Perfect   God=Flawless   Therefore: Believe, Listen, Follow      Name anything better ? = 0  Have a great weekend.

Make the call

Psalm 18:3 “I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies.” When you read this passage you can’t help but ask–who is my enemy?  Do you answer–anything or anyone who stands in the way of you doing the will of God, which is your purpose of living.  Conclusion: am I serving God in everything I do or do I constantly sleep and live with my enemies?  The only way to not walk or maybe run with the enemy is to constantly enjoy a loving, relaxed and enjoyable relationship with your Savior.

Salvation thinking

Psalm 13:5 “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.” A relationship locked is a visual of trust.  The trust you and I have in God’s love cannot ever become separated.  Nothing is more secure than God’s promise of love for each of us.  If you weren’t feeling well with a contented heart before reading this you certainly are now.  Could you be blessed more?

Security is yours

Psalm 11:1a “In the Lord I take refuge…” Finances are important.  A home is important.  A safe, reliable vehicle is important.  Living without war is important.  Eating nutritious food is important.  Living without anxiety or depression is important.  The bottom line?  The most important?  Having a close, tight and always growing relationship with your Heavenly Father.  Nothing is more important.  Cherish that relationship!

God listens

Psalm 10:17 “You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.” Last night, at a meeting where former addicts of the Lighthouse ministry met, the question was asked—how important is constructive encouragement?  To summarize in one word the answer was—extremely!  There is no one who encourages you and me more than our Heavenly Father.  How important is that encouragement?  Answer—there is nothing more important!  Study His Word and receive the best nourishment your soul can possibly receive.

Short but huge

Psalm 11:1a “In the Lord I take refuge…” When you and I listen to these 6 words of this psalm we live in wisdom.   Have a great weekend.

Don’t be like this guy

Psalm 10:4 “In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.” Unfortunately, this verse identifies may who live in this world.  Man can be self-centered and pride-filled.  Education, wealth, celebrity status, can all contribute to narcissism: that is, being in love with oneself.  There is either a very weak recognition of God or total blindness of His presence.  This verse warns against such shallow and self-destructive thinking.  Never allow pride to place any of us into such a category.

Know and trust

Psalm 8:10 “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Those who know God and trust in Him live a unique life.  Their past is fine, their present is stable and their future couldn’t be better.  As soon as any person begins to know God their life becomes a life of security and hope.  It is impossible to live a better life.  Every person on this earth has the opportunity to live such a life.  Thanks be to God.

Constant Thanksgiving

Psalm 9:1 “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” How can you and I do anything other than thank God for all the blessings we enjoy.  It is most unfortunate that we also have to experience sadness in this life.  Even though we enjoy this life’s blessings, we also look forward to the life when Heaven is our home.

Overseers

Psalm 8:6-9 “You made them (human beings) rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds of the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.  Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth.” David expresses the magnificence of the Creator and the position He has placed man as the caretaker of the earth.  Your and my responsibility is to care for all of nature as entrusted to us.  His creation, our responsibility—it is great to work with our God. Have a great weekend.

God is God!

Psalm 8:1 “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!  You have set your glory in the heavens.” Our God couldn’t be more loving, concerned, caring, or–you supply the superlative.  He created the entire universe for your and my enjoyment and to display His glory.  Is there a word which is more majestic than majestic?  Google it.  There isn’t.  That defines our God.  How majestic is our God!  And to think He loves you.  You can’t be more blessed.
