Romans 16:27 “to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen” Life can be confusing, lonely, full of chaos, full of heartache and just generally a downer. Life can be enjoyable, have a solid foundation, orderly, filled with wisdom, just generally good. What makes the difference? A heart filled with this passage makes the difference. Romans 16:26b “…so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith.” It is impossible to lead a Godly life without realizing the grace of the only one true God. Having a close relationship with God is as essential as breath itself. Without breath there is no life. Without knowing God is at your side and you at His side it is impossible to live a secure, contented and peaceful life. Develop a strong and stronger faith.

Romans 16:19b “…but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.” Your and my purpose in life is to serve our Savior within whatever we do as we live our daily life activities. Are my life choices wise is a question we will continually ask ourselves. Do we remove ourselves from activities which are not in the category of practicing wisdom? Serve your Savior and be abundantly blessed.

Romans 16::17 “I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.” God warns all of us through Paul’s inspired words to beware of those who are not faithful to His Word. There are so many philosophies that claim truth, yet are not truth. Many are fooled with the words–but, there is one god however you worship him. It is true–there is One God to be worshipped as He insists in His Word. Don’t be fooled. Search the Scripture. Romans 15:18a “I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me…” Our author is dedicated with purpose. His focus is serving his Savior. He knows life is short and is to be filled with telling others of the ultra importance of telling others the vital Gospel message. He knew that without knowing, believing and living the truth of God’s grace an extremely sad future would be the outcome. With God as the Director of one’s life all is well and our author, as well as our Savior, wants us all to know—all is well!

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Hope is defined as an absolute confident expectation of what God has promised. God has made promises to you and me. Those promises give us a joy and peace which override the human traits of doubt, anxiety or depression. The Holy Spirit, which thrives within each of us is beyond amazing and overrides our human nature. He gives us a strength and joy found nowhere else. We thank you, God, for this fantastic gift! May we always keep it at the forefront of our thinking.

Romans 15:5 “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,” We all know the acronym WWJD. We have bracelets, tattoo’s, necklaces and sometimes clothing which display these letters—or should we say the thought these letters project. Isn’t WWJD a constant thought every Christian has as his/her walk on this earth continues? Each one of us wants our Savior’s thinking to constantly dominate our thinking.

Romans 15:17 “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of rightrousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” A Christian’s heart is focused on serving His Savior and bringing His Spirit into our very shallow minded world. What you eat today is immaterial. How you live and who you represent in your daily walk in of utmost importance. As the child of our God we represent Him every second of the day. That is quite a responsibility–we need His help. We pray for our Holy Spirit to guide us. Have a great weekend.

Romans 14:8 “If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.” If you are reading this devotion you are breathing and therefore living. Some day neither you nor I will be breathing or living on this earth, but we will be living with the Lord. Breathing or not you and I belong to the Lord. Doesn’t that statement dictate our being and our joy and comfort in being children of our Heavenly Father? We live to serve our Savior.

Romans 13:14 “Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” You and I have to continually fight against our own thinking. We have to constantly ask our Savior to help us do His will and not our own. That sounds like a simple concept, however, our human nature makes it an absolutely necessary mindset. We pray that our minds always follow His will and not our own.
