Psalm 50:15 “and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” God invites each one of us to talk to Him. We use the word prayer. His invitation comes with a promise and with a resulting behavior on our part. God always listens. When we get to heaven we will be able to discuss with Him a rerun as to why He answered our prayers as He did. As all of us face earthly challenges, we need a sure defense and God is that loving defense. Be completely confident—He is your and my Ultra Strong Defense. We thank Him. Have a great weekend.

Psalm 48:14 “For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.” If you had a volunteer guide whose advise would lead you to have a perfect, peaceful, secure life wouldn’t it be the ultimate of stupidity to ignore what He has to say? Well, we all have that Guide. Are you and am I listening?

Psalm 48:9 “Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.” God’s love is as secure as secure gets. His promises never fail and His love never fails. You and I can totally, totally, completely, completely, absolutely, absolutely,–what word can we use to express God’s unfailing love? How can we explain that concept to others with no faith or a weak faith? The difficulty lies in that there is nothing else like His unfailing love. There is no comparison. All you and I can do is praise our God for His unfailing love.

Psalm 48:1a “Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise…” You and I say and believe the words of this passage, yet do we really comprehend what great and worthy means. There is no word I am aware of that applies only to our Magnificent, Spectacular, Glorious, Loving, Caring Savior. We simply cannot fathom being His adopted children. The important thing is: we are–enjoy being loved by our Most Unique God.

Psalm 47:7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise.” It is impossible for any of us to understand the magnificence of God. Does a butterfly understand the life and strength of an eagle? Or a mosquito the strength of an elephant? Or a human understand the power of our Creator? To praise Him is the least you and I can do. What a wonderful God we worship!

Psalm47:6 “Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises.” We end the week with a beautiful thought. Every Christian lives life with this thought as a constant on their mind. How could anyone who has a relationship with God have anything other than the thought and action of this verse? Praise God! Psalm 47:2 “For the Lord most high is awesome, the great King over all the earth.” Awesome is the majestic epitome of everything and that defines God. Two political parties are at war in an area of the country where I live and it would appear chaos will reign. What will be the outcome? When will peace again rule? God not only knows, He is your and my God and though man is full of confusion, God is not. You and I live with complete mental peace only because our Majestic God holds our hand and carries us no matter the turmoil prominent in our sinful world.

Psalm 46:10 “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'” Can God be anything but honored as the Only One with Supreme Authority? God is God. There is no other God. If only the world would recognize His majestic power we would live in a much more contented world. However, unknown by many, yet known by many–He is The Authority and Supreme Master of the Universe. Praise God that you have a relationship with Him as your loving Father.

Psalm 46:7 “The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” God again makes a promise. He is always with us. That promise is the best promise you or I will ever hear. We take comfort in Him who will never fail us. Praise God.

Psalm 46:2 “Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,” Can you imagine anything more terrifying than the calamity expressed in this verse? And still God says to never fear. And why should we never fear? Because He is taking care of us as He has promised and His promises never fail. Stability, courage and faithful strength are all our middle names.

Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” God’s continual presence in our lives is more than essential for each one of us. Without His every second presence we would find ourselves lost, lonely and worshipping a God who does not keep His promises–therefore, our God becomes god just like all the other religious gods. God is a faithful, ever present, always keeping His promises God. Each of us is blessed beyond our understanding to be loved, adopted children of our Wonderful God!

Psalm 44:26 “Rise up and help us; rescue us because of your unfailing love.” You and I have no idea what love God has for each of us. What incomprehensible love we take for granted. Our Psalmist uses the word—unfailing—love. That is a great word and concept to cherish for 2026. Can you remember that for the next 365 days?Happy New Year!
