Are you sure?

Psalm 25:1 “In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” Confidence in oneself is critical for living a successful life and is essential for avoiding depression and anxiety.  Confidence and trust in God is absolutely essential for anyone to call themselves a Christian and to experience a calm and peace which only comes from our Father in Heaven.  Having a strong faith and a tight relationship with God is a wonderful way to live.  Thank God for the blessing of such a faith based on the solid foundation of trust.

Question answered

Psalm 24:10 “Who is he, this King of glory?  The Lord Almighty–he is the King of glory,” Have you ever thought—why is it that God, our Almighty God, loves me and the rest of mankind?  Our answer can’t possibly be–because I am so great and loveable.  Why is that not the answer?  Because just the opposite is the truth.  He can totally do without me but I am totally lost without Him.  When we get to Heaven this has to be one of the first questions we ask.  I do not know the answer now! Have a great weekend.

Everything is God’s

Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and  everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” How important is a high net worth if one has no relationship with our Heavenly Father?  How important is developing a very comfortable retirement plan if the true God is absent from one’s life?  Is using one’s talents to live a purposeful life important?  Is having a loving relationship with the One who owns everything important?  Which is more important–centering your life on your self or centering your life on the One who gave His life for you?  Answer these questions correctly and enjoy a secure life on this earth and eternally.

Wonderful conclusion

Psalm 23:5 “Surely your goodness and love will follow mw all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Like David, you and I are the most blessed individuals to walk on this earth.  Sometimes we think we are just like everyone else, but that is far from the truth.  Once a person becomes a loved and adopted child of God, they become heirs to a comfort and peace which passes all understanding. Earthly blessings and a Heavenly reward are theirs.  How extremely blessed we are.

Blessings are plentiful

Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” Turmoil, chaos, unrest, and confusion surround every Christian, yet our God still is walking by our side giving you and me strength and comfort.  Even though the world, in its confused thinking, lacks the wisdom to even ask for God’s wisdom, every Christian walks on the solid ground of spiritual life and comfort.  How blessed we are to know and be loved by our Heavenly Father.

Confident protection

Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley. I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Faith is beyond wonderful.  A strong faith will carry a person through all of life’s circumstances.  Whether in life or in death we have a strength which gives us the confidence which only trust in our Savior can provide.  There is no other place where such a surety and total lack of fear exist.  We praise our God for such a solid and confident faith.

The Ultimate Guide

Psalm 23:3 “he restores my soul.  He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” The ultimate purpose of a guide is twofold.  One to make the activity safe and two to accomplish the purpose of the venture. As you and I travel through this life we absolutely need and desire a Guide.  Without a guide we can spell the journey failure or another spelling is s-e-l-f.  To trust in self is to fail to trust in our Shepherd is spelled s-u-c-c-e-s-s.  How wonderful life is when walking with our Shepherd/Guide. Have a great weekend.

Live with a calmness

Psalm 23:2 “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters.” God does not want us to live a life of anxiety on medication.  He wants all of us to thrive on a calmness which comes with total trust in Him.  He is our medication.  He is our calm and our peace.  The world presents turmoil and chaos.  God is the exact opposite.  Pray and thrive in our Savior’s arms.  Live in peace.  David’s words are perfect.

What do you need?

Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” You and I are used to living a life of abundance.  Such an abundance that we complain if we don’t have desert for dinner or can’t go on a trip we planned or get a new outfit for the fall.  We all have to stop and recognize we have our Savior–there is nothing else we truly need–yet God continues to bless us abundantly.  How amazingly blessed we are.

A prayer

Psalm 22;19 “But you, Lord, do not be far from me.  You are my strength; come quickly to help me.” We all recognize that without God in our lives we are very weak and would fall part.  However, with God in our lives we have hope and strength.  Therefore, we each have a simple choice: Have no God, have no strength; Have God, Have strength.  We pray the same prayer our ancestor David confidently prayed. Pray for God’s strength for Charlie Kirk’s family. Have a great weekend.
