He owns everything

Psalm 95:4-5 “In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.  The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.” Who else could the above verses apply to than our Almighty God?  None of the above verses can apply to any other god.  Hinduism–1.5 billion followers; Islam–2 billion followers; Buddhism–500 million followers; Folk/Indigenous religions–400 million followers; Sikhism–30 million followers; Judaism–15 million followers;  No religion–12 billion followers; that’s a lot of religions with a lot of followers!  And there are hundreds more–both religions and followers.  (Got the info from Google) You and I can’t be more thankful in knowing the One and Only True God.  What blessed lives we live and what an eternity we can look forward to. living.

No comparison

Psalm 95:3 “For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.” We often place God on our own level or maybe the level of “important” people.  That thinking couldn’t be farther from the truth.  God created the universe through simply saying words.  Jesus (God) rose from death!  God has stopped time.  God has no beginning and no end.  And this majestic God loves you and me always (not even my wife does that).  Our God is God with no comparison.  What an honor it is to be His child.

Our Rock

Psalm 95:1 “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” No one shouts for joy during a time of depression.  No one sings aloud when they do not recognize the magnificence of our Glorious God.  No one invites others to join in this praise mentality unless they recognize God is to be praised.  We join our Psalmist in song and shouting praise to our loving Savior.

Another verse of security

Psalm 94:32 “But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.” Both a fortress and a rock represent solid, secure, pure impenetrable protection.  That is our Lord, that is our God.  God brings a peace to each of us while the world brings confused chaos.  Never let the world override what our Savior lived, died and rose to achieve specifically for you and me.  Let His peace dwell in each of us richly. Have a great weekend.

God and comfort

Psalm 94:19 “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.” A natural human trait is anxiety.  Anxiety or a feeling of impending doom can wreck a person’s night or day or relationship or any situation where a person’s faith becomes weak–not nonexistent–just weak.  God’s love seems to be somewhere but not in the forefront where it really is.  No human is exempt.  The good or rather great news is the second half of this verse.  God’s love never fails and brings you and me comforting joy.  You and I are blessed beyond measure.
